GRAND OPENING: MINGLE POST!
The game is officially OPEN! Feel free to make your own posts in the community and get the ball rolling. To commemorate the game's opening, we've set up this intro mingle post to help you guys get settled in. NPCs might even pop in from time to time to guide your characters along or make their school life harder. Even so, we hope you have fun and enjoy!
Please don't forget to add the date when the thread is taking place (e.g. "5th day of the 1st term", "term 1, day 5") in the subject line! December 1 is the 1st day of the 1st term, December 2 is the 2nd... you get the idea.

When I was very young I used to be called Kiev, which is the name of my capital today actually. My little brother Russia, was Rus and later my younger sister came to be. Her name is Belarus.
We stayed together as much as we could, but we were invaded many times and were split up after coming under Polish rule.
[She sighs. Poland she loves you, but still...]
But yes, I remember lots of things. Is there something in particular you'd like to know about? A time period maybe?

Hmm... can you tell me about what happened during World War I, if you don't mind me asking.

...yes. It ...wasn't a good time. I wasn't a proper nation and my people were divided up by others. They fought on both sides. And many of my towns were simply caught in crossfire and destroyed.
They tried so hard to start an independence movement. But we... we never got any support from other nations. And in the end, when the war was over, some of my land went to Poland and I remained under my brother's control. Living with him and sister as the Soviet Union as...that started.
They didn't stop trying though. They just had to be more careful with wishes of independence. ...of course that took ...a ...very long time.

... I'm sorry.

Ah, it's fine. Just ...a very bad time for us.
[And then things just got worse. But that's her history in a nutshell isn't it. It got worse.]

[ She feels so bad now, please don't cryyyy! ]

Good? Ah ..yes of course. That's a good idea.
[Sadly the ...good things are really outnumbered by the horrible things. However she thinks back.]
Well .....there was my independence in 1991.

Your... independence? How was it like?
