Ah, we're not very close. But it shouldn't be that hard to get a hold of him if we get back. He lives right next to my brother too.

Oh! No. I mean the nation of Japan! I'm Ukraine, we don't talk that much, but I see him at world meetings and my brother Russia is right next to him.

Every nation has someone as its personification though. As long as my people exist, so will I.

No. I'm afraid not. Something about magic. But I don't think I can do that.

[Or at least she hasn't tried it in decades, not since they stopped worshipping the old gods.]

I know a few people that can do it. Romania seems to. But nothing like this...

Oh...I suppose I missed a lot over the years. At least, most people can't do it, right?

Well that's not very well known. And most people can't. Actually I know very few people who can.

[She's not going to even mention Baba Yaga and all that.]

So no I don't think you missed it, so much. It's very easy to never notice at all.

I suppose...It just seems like I've overlooked quite a bit others take for granted.

I wouldn't call it taken for granted.... I mean most people don't know about magic working really. Just from stories.

I just know a few people who have been around a very long time.

I see. I suppose we'll...just have to see what happens then? With their magic.

Yes.... it seems strange. But I suppose there's nothing else to do about it.
