To commemorate the game's opening, we've set up this intro mingle post to help you guys get settled in. NPCs might even pop in from time to time to guide your characters along or make their school life harder. Even so, we hope you have fun and enjoy!

Please don't forget to add the date when the thread is taking place (e.g. "5th day of the 1st term", "term 1, day 5") in the subject line! December 1 is the 1st day of the 1st term, December 2 is the 2nd... you get the idea.

[Ah, there he feels much better now, well that's good then! She really is hoping she's doing this right.]

It's the same in my case too. I can't do magic. Magic doesn't really exist back home either. There's been a lot of crazy things, but not magic.

[He let out a quiet smirk, that he quickly covered with the book. It was too easy to relate to]

I only knew one or two people who were able to perform it. It's not very many out of all the people I know.

Um... If you don't mind me asking, where do you come from?

[That smirk he gave? It even managed to calm her down.]

At least it's still possible in your world. Ours revolves more around science. [Crazy science at that!]

It's fine. I come from--[She pauses. Thinking about it, it's not exactly the best place to talk about.]--somewhere in Europe. Slums and ruin. Nothing clean like this. How about you?

Oh, I'm Naoto, by the way.

Well, ours does too. I think most people don't really believe in magic I just know quite a lot of ah... strange people.

[He was about to ask where in Europe but he was cut off by the introduction of her name. Latvia was a little shy at the idea of introducing himself properly incase the name seemed strange but it would be rude not to reciprocate the gesture]

It's nice to meet you, Naoto. My name's Latvia.

[For once not avoiding eye contact he held out his hand for her to shake]

It's kept secret? [She wouldn't be surprised, especially when others could abuse it.

Naoto reaches out slowly to take his hand. It's nice to have a simple introduction, and she shakes gently.]

It's nice to meet you too, Latvia. Latvia as in the country, right?

[But she doesn't seem all too surprised by this. A lot of names are pretty commonplace now that would seem weird in other times.]

[His handshake was firm but he was quick to keep his hand to himself once they were finished]

Something like that... Well, you know about 'those people', don't you?

[If she knew about Latvia as a country then it wasn't a huge leap of logic to guess that she was from the same earth. The existence of people like him was a little strange, it wasn't kept a secret that they existed but very few people seemed to know or recognise him as Latvia]

[Naoto tries her hardest to figure this out. Was there some kind of organisation with nation names?]

I'm sorry, I don't follow. It's probably my own lack of knowledge.

[She does seem upset by this, as if she wasn't able to live up to expectations, especially if there was a chance they were from the same universe.]

Oh, uh... Don't worry about it too much. I wouldn't say it's common knowledge anyway. It's just that I'm ah... not exactly human. So it's less 'like Latvia' and more...

[He wasn't sure why he was getting so nervous about this all of a sudden. It's not like the people who did know about him were going to hurt him but this wasn't home and suddenly it felt like everything was on high alert. Maybe it would have been better to keep quiet but Latvia always thinks of these things too late]

[It's okay Latvia, she has a lot of not humans in her world. In fact, she could be loosely associated as not human too! If ones would count clones. Still, he seems to be uneasy about this, she better reassure him. Although first, to figure out what he was trying to say. If it's less "like Latvia", what is it more like? That he is Latvia? Does that even work?]

I don't understand, but if you don't want to talk about it. I'm not really human either, in some perspectives. Don't worry about it. [It wasn't something she would go ahead and talk about, but if she kept her circumstances vague, she could use it to help Latvia.]

[Somehow the conversation felt like it had steered into uncomfortable territory and Latvia wondered if he should change the subject. On the other hand he'd become quite curious himself]

[And if he gives her something, she should give a little back too. She only hoped it would make it awkward for him.]

I wasn't born like normal humans, at least I don't think. Maybe, created would be a better way to put it.

I don't mind. I'm actually a nation rather than a person. I know I don't look like it, but officially I'm 94. Even then I've existed for centuries before that.

[He listened to her, wondering what to make of it]

Do you mean like cloning technology? I know it had been developed enough to be used with animals but I think there's still a lot of ethical considerations when it comes to people...
