Waking up to his dorm window frosted with snow was the best thing that happened in weeks! Who cares if he suddenly can't manage much more than a spark when it comes to magic, there's snow!]


A. Action - Courtyard

[Poland is bundled up, working on a mound of snow that looks suspiciously like a certain instructor.]

Mmm... [Poland taps his chin in thought, looking over his work.] ...still needs stuff.

Oh! [Grabbing a fallen branch and tying a shoe lace to the end of it so it vaguely resembles a whip, he sticks it into the side of the mound.]

Yes.

B. Action - Courtyard

[The courtyard is kind of pretty when it's covered in a layer of snow, Poland muses. Especially so when he was looking out over it from the tree he climbed up into...

...with a lap full of snow balls, just waiting to be used on the unsuspecting passerby.]

[Poland's demeanor shifts quite abruptly. How did that saying go? Like, the friend of my friend was also totally my friend? No... that wasn't it. Was it? Aw who cares, she knew Ukraine!]

Oh my god, totally! She adores me, I'm like her favorite person ever!

[That's a bit of an exaggeration on Poland's part but, no one is here to dispute it.]

[ That shift in demeanor is definitely... odd, but that doesn't stop Sayaka from being friendly. Rather, this makes things pretty easy for her. ]

I see. Are you two relatives perhaps? I'm glad you've got someone you know in this world.

[ Since she's alone, and... after what happened, she's not sure whether she'd like her ex-classmates to show up here or not. ]

[Poland flails at the accusation, waving his arms wildly.] Ew no! Not relatives! No way! Totally not! We're friends! Just super good friends! Allies at the max!

[Their shared Slavic roots might say otherwise, but that would mean being related to Ukraine's younger siblings as well. If Sayaka knew either one of them she'd probably understand why plausible deniability was much easier for Poland to stomach.]

But, Ukraine's here? Really?

[ That wasn't meant to be a taboo question. The reaction leaves her puzzled for a moment, and she debates whether to apologize or not, but the next bit takes her aback. Haven't they met yet...? ]

She's here... I met her the past days at the library.

Ukraine's here! [He's so happy he can't contain it! Finally someone else he knew! ...well that he liked anyways. Knowing that Russia was here wasn't helpful. Latvia was pretty boring. And Lithuania went without saying, of course.] She should have said hi to me sooner.

[He points at Sayaka, before demanding,] You'll take me to the library!

[ Wait, what's with this sudden development--... she blinks rapidly. ]

Wait, that was in the past days...! I'm not sure she's in the library right now.

[Such developments are pretty typical when dealing with Poland.]

She might be though! And if not now, we can like have a stake out till she comes, I don't mind at all!

[ He's lucky that she doesn't have anything to do right now, or else she'd ditch him right there with an excuse. ]
