[After almost a month of school and pretty abusive physical strength training classes, Poland was feeling a little homesick. Especially since he probably wouldn't be spending his favorite holiday at home.

Waking up to his dorm window frosted with snow was the best thing that happened in weeks! Who cares if he suddenly can't manage much more than a spark when it comes to magic, there's snow!]


A. Action - Courtyard

[Poland is bundled up, working on a mound of snow that looks suspiciously like a certain instructor.]

Mmm... [Poland taps his chin in thought, looking over his work.] ...still needs stuff.

Oh! [Grabbing a fallen branch and tying a shoe lace to the end of it so it vaguely resembles a whip, he sticks it into the side of the mound.]

Yes.

B. Action - Courtyard

[The courtyard is kind of pretty when it's covered in a layer of snow, Poland muses. Especially so when he was looking out over it from the tree he climbed up into...

...with a lap full of snow balls, just waiting to be used on the unsuspecting passerby.]

[ That's one... weird looking snowman, Sayaka kind of thinks as she stops in her tracks to watch the guy's work. She had no idea what it was supposed to represent, until he put that stick in place. Ah... ]

Isn't that our physical strength instructor?

[Poland had seen Sayaka around in physical strength class over the last few weeks and knew she was a student as well even though they'd never spoken. Still he couldn't help but recoil into his coat and shyly pull his scarf up over his nose, before answering.]

Y-yeah. Totally perfect likeness, don't you think?

The whip gave the identity away.

[ She approaches, a few steps forward, studying the sculpture better. ]

It's pretty impressive. How did you get these to hold up without falling? [ Pointing at the... breasts, yep. ]

Yeah, see I totally knew it would help! [He looks quite pleased with himself.]

Oh, I'm like totally experienced in structurally sound support. I mean, I've lived next to Ukraine for fiveever.

...You know Ukraine? [Poland stops shrinking into his coat momentarily at that.]

[Poland's demeanor shifts quite abruptly. How did that saying go? Like, the friend of my friend was also totally my friend? No... that wasn't it. Was it? Aw who cares, she knew Ukraine!]

Oh my god, totally! She adores me, I'm like her favorite person ever!

[That's a bit of an exaggeration on Poland's part but, no one is here to dispute it.]

[ That shift in demeanor is definitely... odd, but that doesn't stop Sayaka from being friendly. Rather, this makes things pretty easy for her. ]

I see. Are you two relatives perhaps? I'm glad you've got someone you know in this world.

[ Since she's alone, and... after what happened, she's not sure whether she'd like her ex-classmates to show up here or not. ]

[Poland flails at the accusation, waving his arms wildly.] Ew no! Not relatives! No way! Totally not! We're friends! Just super good friends! Allies at the max!

[Their shared Slavic roots might say otherwise, but that would mean being related to Ukraine's younger siblings as well. If Sayaka knew either one of them she'd probably understand why plausible deniability was much easier for Poland to stomach.]

But, Ukraine's here? Really?

[The snow made things feel a little more like home. Well... maybe that was a lie. Home had a very very particular feeling to Latvia and this certainly wasn't it. Still, it was nice to walk around in the fresh air and hear the snow crunch under his feet, completely oblivious to Poland]

[Poland watches as Latvia walks below him, his mouth twitching into a mischievous smile behind his scarf. Latvia seemed a little melancholy crunching around in the snow. A snowball to the back of his head seemed like a great way to bring him out of it.

Poland closes an eye and aims carefully, before launching the snowball.]

[balzams]

[Latvia lets out a shrill shriek as something cold hits the back of his neck and starts seeping down his back. Quickly brushing it off he frantically looks around for the source and his eyes eventually fall on Poland]

What was that for?

[Poland bursts out laughing, wobbling on his tree limb.] Oh my god, your face was priceless!

And that noise! [Poland tries to imitate it, but can't seem to get his voice shrill enough.]Aw man, I totally can't do it. Latvia, make the noise again!

[balzams]

[Latvia let out a less than impressed sigh. If he was forced to be away from home it would be nice to be away from home entirely instead of having to stick with the annoying parts]

I'm not doing it again! You shouldn't be picking on people like that anyway.

Wow, you like totally need to chill out! [Here have another snowball aimed at you, Latvia.]

[He manages to lurch out of the way just enough that it hits him on the leg]

You're not going to make any friends throwing things at people!

There's like... a buttload of people who'd totally love if I acknowledged them long enough to throw stuff at them.

[Besides, Poland was just trying to get Latvia to have a bit of fun.]

You're just mad because you couldn't hit [Poland gestures to himself] this if you were five centimeters from it.

[One swordswoman stands just behind him, head tilted as she observes.]

You can tell it's her, but what do you think she'll do once she finds this?

[Poland doesn't recognize the voice from behind him.]

Pssh. I don't care, I'm totally not afraid of her!

[He does have less of a spine when it comes to dealing with new people, however. As quickly as Poland finishes replying, he bolts to hide behind snow Myers.]

[Hama really wasn't used to snow; her homeland was warm, and the temple bordered a desert. So in between point A and point B, she's tried wrapping her uniform robe around her tightly like a cloak, and just walking as fast as she can to get back to the dormitory where it's nice and toasty and her books can stop getting wet.

The last thing she needs is someone throwing stuff at her! But she happens to be passing under Poland's tree, so yeah...]

[Wherever this girl was going, she sure was in a hurry to get there. It made aiming a little harder than it had been on previous victims.

Poland lobs three snowballs in quick succession. At least one of them had to hit, right?]

[They totally do! One knocks her hat off her head, the second narrowly misses her ear, and the third smacks her right in the hair bun. Hama whirls to try and spot her mysterious attacker, her free hand rising instinctively to the back of her head.

Perhaps unfortunately for Poland, winter trees don't offer much in the way of foliage cover, so she finds him almost immediately. Assesses threat level - no, she knows him, he's a classmate, and he's not throwing rocks, just lumps of snow, if her wet hair is any indication. Just a prankster. JUST SOME PUNK KID... Her alarm turns to narrow-eyed irritation.]

What do you think you're doing?

[Knocked the hat off! 100 points! Bonus life for hitting the hair bun-- Aah! She wasn't supposed to spot him!]

Uhh... [Poland stumbles over an excuse for a moment, before suddenly pointing ahead.] Oh my god look! The person who hit you with such super fabulous and impeccable aim! They're getting away!

[Poland are you serious she was just looking that way. She is pretty sure it did not come from in front of her and loop around to hit the back of her head. Needless to say, she doesn't even look. Instead she tilts her staff toward where her hat fell, and a little whirlwind kindly retrieves it for her, depositing it gently on the end of the staff.]

So was it your assignment to terrorize your classmates, or is this an independent study?

L... look... [Poland's pointing withers in enthusiasm with Hama refusing to turn around so he could escape.]
